Outlands is a small bar and grill located near Lake Smithville. From the outside it looks
like an old barn, the paint is faded and the metal hinges and trim look rusted. There is a small
gravel parking lot to the side and a small smoke house. Inside you can tell that it was at one
time in fact a barn, or at least has been made to look like it. To the left of the door there is a
counter attended by a bouncer who checks ID's and collects cover charges during concerts. At
the far end of the bar, opposite of the entrance is an L-shapped bar and a stage. In front of the
stage is a small dance floor. Along the left-hand side of the lower level is a row of pool
tables. The rest of the bottom floor is filled with tables and booths and at night the music is
almost deafening, playing a mix of heavy metal and classic rock. Along the right hand wall is
a staircase that leads upstairs to the loft which is filled with tables.. The loft is dimly lit with
candles on the tables and the music is a bit more muted. You can still see the stage however
from tables near the railing. There are waitresses in this area to take food and drink orders.
