Benjo Atama (Ben to his friends) is 5'8, about 150 lbs., with wedge-cut hair down to his shoulders and average-looking Japanese features. He isn't overweight, but he isn't terribly in shape either, and his plain outfit of blue jeans and a T-shirt only serve to reinforce the overall impression of averageness. He carries a hiking-style backpack, to which is attached a water bottle and a small tent-and-bedroll. He seems polite, and maybe a little bit shy, and his habit of looking down when he speaks tends to keep his eyes hidden behind his hair.
